Occasionally, someone will ask us about our company and our logo. It’s usually this one:
I can usually tell what the person is wondering. Is that a crown of thorns? That usually opens up a window of conversation that yes, we are a physical therapy and performance business, and our foundation is built on our Christian values and our belief in Jesus Christ. The conversation usually moves on to another topic.
The image of the cross is actually central to all the branding we use. It may or may not be apparent to others. Maybe some like it, maybe some are indifferent and maybe some don’t (no one has directly said this to us, but we recognize it is probable.)
Our name is CrossPhysio and I think for many, that can mean we treat CrossFitters. That is, without a doubt, true. However, the word “Cross” in our name, the image of the cross in all of our branding and the crown of thorns has a much more consequential meaning to us than CrossFit.
While our platform is not huge, we want you to know why this all matters to us. It’s no secret there is a lot of hatred, ugliness, death and destruction in our world right now. Our lives on earth are fleeting and can end in the blink of an eye. Our eternity is on the line and it’s important for anyone to know who walks in our doors that faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to guarantee our eternal home.
The Gospel Message
We live in a fallen world. God is perfect and we are not. Sin is everywhere. I want to go to heaven someday but I know there is nothing I can do to make myself perfect to get there. I’ve sinned more than I like to believe today alone. Pride, idolatry of control and order, speaking harshly…Those are sins I can hide at times, but they are still sins. Maybe they are less obvious than ones like murder or adultery, but a sin is a sin. God is holy. I am not because I am a sinner. I cannot be in the presence of a holy God because of my sin.
God sent his son Jesus to earth over 2000 years ago to die on the cross. His blood shed on the cross paid the punishment I deserve for my sin so that by believing in his death and resurrection, conquering death once and for all, I can live with Him eternally in heaven. This is true for everyone.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift from God, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
It is by faith alone in Jesus Christ through His grace alone, that I can have the hope of heaven. There is nothing I can do to earn salvation and eternity in heaven. I am a sinner. I cannot be perfect. I will not be perfect. I cannot be good enough or do enough good. The only hope we have to spend eternity with the creator of the world where there is no more pain, tears, sorrow or sadness is to place our hope and faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4
If you already believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we are so happy and overjoyed. If you’ve never heard the gospel before, know we are always willing to talk and answer or find answers to any questions you have. All people and questions are welcome here.
We treat each and every person that comes through our doors with dignity, respect and to the best of our abilities as physical therapists and trainers. No matter who you are or what you believe, you are welcome at our clinic because each and every one of us is created in the image of God. We are all sinners in need of a Savior. We are all human beings born in a fallen world. We are all loved and valued in the eyes of God. We view each client we have in that way.
